Rahul’s lecture was divided into three parts…

1). Mention of India couples travel in the first part
The Congress leader’s speech was divided into three parts. It started with the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul told the Cambridge students that travel is a journey in which people listen to others rather than themselves. He said that through this visit he drew attention towards unemployment, injustice and ever-increasing inequality in India. Rahul’s yatra, which started on September 7, has covered a distance of about 3,570 km. In this journey of total 146 days, Rahul has touched the borders of 14 states.

2). Mention of Second World War in the second part
The second part of Rahul’s speech referred to the Second World, which mainly focused on two different aspects of the US and China since the 1991 disintegration of the Soviet Union. Rahul Gandhi said that America has pulled itself together after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, apart from eliminating manufacturing-related jobs. While China promoted harmony through the organizations around the Communist Party.

Referring to the continuous decline in manufacturing in democratic countries like India and America, he said that this change has given rise to widespread inequality and resentment, which needs immediate attention.

3). The third part is based on the imperative for a global conservation
The last part of Rahul’s lecture was related to the topic Imperative for a Global Conservation. He tried to weave together different dimensions in calling for new ways to embrace different aspects. He also explained to Cambridge University students that travel is a pilgrimage that people themselves engage in, so that they can listen to others.
