Delhi Government’s Vigilance Department has issued show cause notices to 7 PWD officers. This notice has been issued regarding the repair cost of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s house. An official gave this information on Sunday.

The notice has been given by the BJP after Kejriwal was accused of spending Rs 45 crore in repairing the house.

Approval of any building plan not taken, answer will have to be given in 15 days
According to the notice, the old structure of CM Kejriwal’s bungalow was demolished without a survey report. The PWD had not even obtained the approval of any building plan for the construction of the new building. The Chief Minister’s house has been constructed in violation of his rights.

His house is much bigger than the parameters set under the guidelines issued by the ministry. PWD officials have been given 15 days to respond in detail to all these allegations.

On May 26, the Vigilance Department submitted a report to LG regarding the expenditure of the house.
On May 26, the Vigilance Department submitted a report to Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena regarding the renovation of Kejriwal’s bungalow and the office built in its campus. He told that Rs 52.71 crore has been spent on the bungalow.

News agency PTI quoted the report as saying that Rs 33.49 crore was spent on Kejriwal’s house, while Rs 19.22 crore was spent on his office. His old bungalow was demolished and a new bungalow was built.
