A Maruti car fell into a 100 meter deep gorge near Bhagat Nullah in Pooh, district Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh. In the accident, 1 person died on the spot, while another person was injured, who was referred to Reckong Peo Hospital after treatment at CHC Pooh. According to the information received from the police, a Maruti car was coming from Pooh towards Akpa late on Tuesday night. As soon as the vehicle reached near Bhagat Nullah, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car fell 100 meters below the National Highway to the banks of Sutlej river. Anoop Negi, who was injured in the accident, informed the police station Pooh.
Police team reached the spot after the accident.
As soon as the information was received from the police station, under the leadership of ASI Khamesh Sharma, the team of Chief Constable Vishal and Chief Constable Manglesh reached the spot. The police team, with the help of the villagers, took the accident victims to the road and brought them to the hospital. Driver Raj Bahadur Negi (44) resident of village Akpa, district Kinnaur died in the accident. Anoop Negi (34) resident of village Akpa district Kinnaur has been injured.
