The Delhi Police has given a reply to the initial reply given by the Congress leader. Police said that no information has been given in the reply given by Rahul, on the basis of which the investigation can be taken forward.
Today police reached Rahul Gandhi’s house
A Delhi Police team on Sunday reached Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s house for the third time in the last five days. After about 2 hours, Rahul met Special CP (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda. Special CP told that we have sought information from Rahul Gandhi regarding his statement. Rahul Gandhi has asked for some time and has said that he will give information.
According to the news agency ANI, an official told that we have asked Rahul Gandhi for information about the victims whom he had mentioned. So that they can be given security.
Special CP Hooda said- Rahul said that he has met many people during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. It will take some time to connect all the links. If needed, Rahul Gandhi will be questioned further.
Rahul Gandhi came out of his residence after meeting with Delhi Police officers. He himself was driving the car.
Rahul gave statement on rape victims in Srinagar
Rahul Gandhi gave a statement on the rape victim during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul had said in Srinagar on January 30 – Many women had come to meet me. She was crying and emotional. Some of them said that they have been raped, molested. I asked him if I should tell the police about this, he said Rahul ji we just wanted to tell you. Don’t tell the police this time, otherwise we will have to suffer more losses.
Police went to Rahul’s house twice, then received the notice
On March 15, a police team had gone to give notice to Rahul Gandhi regarding the statement. The team waited there for 3 hours, but could not find Rahul. On March 16, senior officers of Delhi Police again went to his house. After making him wait for one and a half hour, Rahul met him and received the notice. The party had said that they would respond to the notice as per the law at the appropriate time.
