CBI is engaged in the investigation of the train accident in Odisha. The investigating agency has sealed the Bahanaga station. Now no passenger train or goods train will stop at the station till further orders. About 170 trains pass through here every day. 7 trains were stopping here after the accident. This information has been given by news agency ANI quoting Railway Officer Aditya Kumar Chaudhary.

Railway official says that CBI checked all the documents present in the station during the investigation. Log books, relay panels and electronic devices have been seized. On June 2, two Superfast Express and a goods train collided in Balasore, Odisha, killing 288 people. 1208 people were injured in the accident.

CBI also investigated at the accident site
The railway official said that a two-member CBI team had reached the accident site on Friday. The agency collected some important evidence from many places here. After this, checked the panel and relay room for about 2 hours. The team sealed both the room and the data locker. It is believed that the CBI may get some important evidence related to the accident.

At around 10 pm on June 2, media reports came that two passenger trains and a goods train had collided. Initially, there was information about 30 people killed, but late in the night this figure crossed 200. The next day, on June 3, by 2 pm, the death toll had reached 288.

Railway officials said that a goods train was standing on the outer line of Bahanaga Bazar station. The Coromandel Express going from Howrah to Chennai derailed on the loop line and rammed into a stationary goods train. The engine of the express overturned the goods train and the bogies fell onto the third track. After some time, the Howrah-Bengaluru Duronto Express coming on the third track hit the coaches of the Coromandel Express.

The youth has been identified as Dilal, a resident of Assam. He was immediately rescued and sent for treatment, where he regained consciousness. His phone and wallet went missing in the incident.
