STF Deputy SP Navendu Kumar and Vimal Kumar Singh along with their respective teams were looking for the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. On the night of 12th April, they got information about Guddu Muslim hiding in Parichha of Jhansi. The source told that he is hiding in the house of a person named Satish Pandey in Parichha. Guddu Muslim had lived here earlier also.

Guddu left from there even before the STF raid. Shortly after this, inputs were received that Asad and Mohammad Ghulam, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh each, were hiding in the vicinity of Jhansi. Deputy SP Navendu Kumar along with his team became active around Jhansi in two vehicles. STF activated all its sources and also activated the surveillance team.

The encounter between Asad and Ghulam took place near Paricha Dam, about 200 meters from the Kanpur-Jhansi highway.

The STF source informed that the first location of Asad and Ghulam was near Chirgaon. After being confirmed, Deputy SP Navendu Kumar’s team immediately reached Chirgaon, but by then both had left. In Chirgaon, the informer told that Asad and Ghulam had gone towards Parichha by bike. The number plate of the bike was not written.

The informer said that Asad was wearing a white Pathani suit and a black cap, while Ghulam was wearing a lower and dark green half T-shirt and a handkerchief tied on his head. With this much information STF got the information that the absconders are Asad and Ghulam only.

Asad-Ghulam ran on the rough road on trying to overtake
After this Navendu Kumar and Vimal Kumar started tracing on the highway going from Chirgaon towards Parichha. Around 11:30 am, the bike was seen about 100 meters before the turn of Parichha Dam. The STF tried to overtake Asad and Ghulam in a Scorpio SUV. Both understood that there is police in it and they increased the speed of the bike. After this, he ran the bike on the raw road.

According to the STF, both the miscreants were repeatedly warned to surrender, but both kept riding the bike for about one and a half to two km on the rough road. At the same time Vimal Kumar Singh’s team surrounded him from the front. Then Asad and Ghulam’s bike slipped and fell down the rough road. After this, both of them got up and took cover of the ground and started firing rapidly with foreign pistols.

The encounter lasted for about 30 minutes, 49 rounds of firing took place.
After firing from Asad and Ghulam, STF also started retaliatory firing. Some jawans got down from the car and hid under the cover of a tree. There was intermittent firing from both the sides for about 30 minutes. Navendu Kumar fired two shots from his pistol and the team including Vimal Kumar Singh fired one shot each from their pistols. Within a short while, the firing from the miscreants stopped.

After waiting for some time, STF went near and saw that both Asad and Ghulam were injured. A call was made at 112 at 12:52 and for an ambulance at 12.55 to take both of them to the hospital. The team took both of them to the hospital.

After this the area of ​​the encounter spot was sealed. There the forensic team investigated. Where there was an encounter between STF and Asad-Ghulam. The location is about 200 meters away from the Kanpur-Jhansi highway. The surrounding area is bushy. The construction of Parichha Dam is going on a short distance away.

Dabish till Ajmer, but both kept running
According to STF sources, after the murder of Umesh Pal, both Asad and Ghulam reached Kanpur by bike from Prayagraj. From here took a bus and reached Noida. After staying there for about 15 days, went to Delhi. Where he took shelter in the Sangam Vihar house of a relative of a political leader. As soon as there was a whisper of STF reaching there, both of them left for Ajmer. Guddu Muslim was also hiding there.

According to sources, the three Asad, Ghulam and Guddu Muslim stayed together for about a week. Used his relative’s phone there. Meanwhile, the STF raided Ajmer as soon as it found the location, but all three fled from there.

Meanwhile, information is received that Asad and Ghulam have appeared around Kolkata Port and Asansol. The team raided several places there, but did not get any success. Meanwhile, Guddu Muslim’s location was found in Jhansi. When the STF team reached there, it was found that Guddu had turned Muslim, but Asad and Ghulam were caught by the STF. Both were killed in the encounter.

According to sources, after the Umesh murder case, police raided 2 countries, 8 states to nab the shooters. 22 teams of SOG, STF and UP Police were deployed to nab them.
