Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary will be celebrated on 14th April. The main function will be held at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Dr. Ambedkar. Lakhs of followers will reach here on this occasion. Followers started coming here from Thursday itself. Apart from this, programs have been organized on this occasion in many states of the country.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also participate in the celebration of Babasaheb’s birth anniversary in Mhow. According to the Memorial Society, former CM Kamal Nath, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Ravan are also reaching Mhow.

This time, the BJP government of the state is going to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti on a large scale to garner the votes of the SC/ST community. Every year the event used to be held at the birthplace of Babasaheb, but this time big events have been organized in 3 districts, including Mhow in Indore district, Maheshwar in Khargone district and Gwalior. On Thursday in Mhow, the administrative officials reviewed the arrangements for the stay and food etc. of the followers of Babasaheb.

Born in Mhow, faced poverty and inequality since childhood
Babasaheb Ambedkar, the youngest of 14 brothers, was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow, a small town near Indore. Being born in a Dalit family, he had to face discrimination since childhood. Ambedkar had to sit in the last row in the school. Good in studies since childhood, Ambedkar was the first Dalit student of Government High School in Mumbai. Baba Saheb died on 6 December 1956 in Delhi.

CM will unveil the statue in Hyderabad

A procession will take place in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh
The 132nd birth anniversary of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar will be celebrated with pomp in Raigad. Ambedkar Jayanti Organizing Committee is preparing for this. The members of the committee informed that a grand procession will be taken out. The procession will leave from Ramlila Maidan Raigarh at 4 pm on Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, passing through the main roads of the city, Ghadi Chowk, Station Chowk, Gandhi effigy, Gauri Shankar Mandir, Gopi Talkies and reach Dr. Ambedkar Chowk Chakradhar Nagar.
