Punjab’s most wanted terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa Harike is sitting in Canada getting bomb blasts done in Punjab. While sitting abroad, he first got an RPG attack done on the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali and then on the police station in Tarn Taran. Seeing the increasing terrorist activities, the NIA has also placed a reward of Rs 15 lakh on him.

Lakhbir Landa fled to Canada in 2017. Since then the police of Punjab and the country are looking for him. Earlier his name used to come only in gangster activities, but after two major attacks in Punjab in the last year 2022, he was put in the category of terrorists. A few days ago an audio tape of Lakhbir Landa went viral. He had made this call to a police officer of Tarn Taran and in it he was openly threatening the Punjab Police.

NIA has put a reward of 15 lakhs
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has placed a reward of Rs 15 lakh on Punjab’s most wanted terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa on Wednesday itself. Lakhbir Singh is accused of spreading terror in Punjab. He fled abroad in 2017. Since then NIA is looking for him. Lakhbir Singh has also been involved in several terrorist incidents in Punjab and supply of arms from Pakistan.

Lakhbir is a resident of Harike in Tarn Taran
According to the Punjab Police, 33-year-old Lakhbir Singh alias Landa is a gangster, originally from Harike in Tarn Taran district. Lakhbir Singh is currently hiding in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Various criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, drug trafficking, kidnapping and illegal weapons have been registered against him in various police stations of Punjab.

Executed criminal incidents in association with Rinda
According to information, Lakhbir is a close associate of wanted terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda. ‘Both these gangsters made ransom, extortion demands at different places. Lakhbir had built his crime network across the state, but he secretly fled to Canada in 2017.

Network runs from Canada
According to police records, Lakhbir operates his network from Canada. Police believe that he is using petty criminals in different parts of the state for contract killing, extortion, ransom etc. With the help of this network, Landa also keeps demanding extortion money from rich people (businessmen, doctors, celebrities etc.).

Name associated with terrorist incidents
The police dossier mentions several criminal activities carried out at the behest of Landa. Which includes illegal occupation of a disputed land in Lakhna village under Valtoha police station in June 2021. Then in March 2021, a car was looted from Sarhali and money was also demanded and collected from an Aadhti (commission agent) of Sharon village in Tarn Taran district.

Apart from this, a case of car snatching from the son of a doctor in Amritsar and firing at a Punjabi singer’s house is also registered. Landa is alleged to have carried out these incidents with the help of his associate Preet Sekhon. Also on May 27, 2021, at the behest of Landa, Preet Sekhon and Jarmanjit killed Amandeep Singh alias Fauji and Prabhdeep Singh alias Pooran.

Also related to gangster Dilpreet Singh
Lakhbir Singh also has links with arrested gangster Dilpreet Singh alias Baba Dahan, who was earlier an accomplice of Harvinder Rinda. Apart from this, planting a bomb under the car of a CIA Inspector in Amritsar, the Intelligence Office in Mohali and the RPG attack on Sarhali Police Station in Tarn Taran are important incidents.
