5.5 kg heroin seized today from village Rai in Amritsar.

Pakistani drone entered Punjab’s border district Amritsar for the third consecutive day. This is the 11th attempt in 10 days, when a Pakistani drone crossed the Indian border. Border Security Force (BSF) jawans launched a search operation after detecting the drone and succeeded in seizing heroin worth Rs 38 crore dropped in the fields.

The incident is of Rai, the border village of Amritsar. This is the second consecutive day when Pakistani smugglers have dropped about 5 kg of heroin in village Rai. According to information shared by BSF, the jawans were on night patrol. Meanwhile, the sound of the drone was heard. As the jawans tried to target the drone, the sound of something falling was heard.

Search operation started at night
BSF personnel sealed the area without wasting time. A search operation was launched in the area. A large packet of yellow color was found in the fields. In which there were small packets of heroin. After weighing the total weight has been estimated at 5.5 kg. Whose international value is around 38 crores.

5.25 kg heroin was seized on the previous day
According to the information shared by BSF, the jawans had seized 5.25 kg of heroin from the same village on the previous day as well. That consignment was also thrown through the drone after getting it done at the border. But due to the alertness of the jawans, this attempt of Pakistani smugglers also failed.
