Video conferencing tools, ahead of the holiday season zoom has updated its platform with many new features. These include advanced slide controls, the ability to control polling, presence status, chat flexibility, and more.
With advanced slide controls, users can now select multiple people to control the speed of slides in a presentation. This means that presenters no longer need to ask another participant to proceed with the presentation. Zoom has also added more options for creating polls such as ranked responses, tally, short and long answers, and fill in the blanks. The company says the same functionality can also be used for quizzes, onboarding sessions or lunch-and-learn events.
Zoom users can also set the size and placement of watermarks on their recorded content. Anyone can enable watermarks by default and customize them through the web portal before the meeting. Another feature recently introduced by Zoom is attendance status, which allows meeting hosts and co-hosts, along with Google and Outlook calendar integration, to see who has accepted or declined meeting invitations. and see if they have joined.
