Ballari: A female ias officer posted as chief executive officer Feather Ballari Zilla Panchayat Gave Birth to do girl Feather Ballari District Hospital Instead of opting for a private hospital on Wednesday night.
Both mother and child are fine.
Nandini KR gave birth to a daughter at 11.30 pm. It was a normal delivery.
The patient was looked after by Senior Gynecologist Dr. Virendra Kumar, Dr. Sharda, Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Pediatrician Dr. Bhawna, Dr. Mohan Yalavarti, Anesthetist Dr. Abdul Ghafoor.
“Both mother and baby are healthy. Our doctors examined the baby and prescribed the necessary medicine,” said a senior resident doctor.
Ramalingappa, assistant director of information and public relations office in Bellary, said Nandini was down to earth and a simple person. “This is an example of the simplicity of an IAS officer. Such an initiative taken by the head of the district administration will prove to be very helpful in instilling confidence among the common people regarding treatment in government hospitals.
Nandini, a 2016 batch IAS officer, had secured the first position in India in her fourth attempt. She hails from a remote village in Kolar district and is a civil engineer from MS Ramaiah Engineering College. He has allotted to an IAS officer of Karnataka cadre.
Nandini was not available for comment. Her husband Dr Rajith is a doctor in Bangalore. After the birth of the baby girl, all the family members expressed happiness.
