Zeenat Aman says the piece written by Derek Walcott in ‘Love After Love’ touched her so much that she couldn’t resist sharing it with her online family.

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman shared a touching message to mark the special occasion of International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 8. He took to his Instagram handle and shared how he recently visited a music studio and recorded himself reciting a motivational poem. Zeenat shared that the piece written by Derek Walcott in ‘Love After Love’ impressed her so much that she couldn’t resist sharing it with her online family.

In the reel posted by Aman, she can be seen wearing a breezy pink outfit while sitting on a recording chair. Though the glimpse remains static throughout the short clip, it is set against the backdrop of her lilting voice reciting the poem aloud. According to the all-time actress, this creative piece by Derek Walcott is a reminder for her to love and accept herself with the same tenderness with which she accepts others.

“For me it’s a poignant reminder to love and accept myself with the same tenderness I do others. It’s a poem for everyone, but it feels symbolic to upload it on International Women’s Day. If You don’t know a woman who gives of herself so freely, sometimes to the detriment of herself, then chances are you are that woman,” she explained.
