Zee Conference: Rajnath Singh assures youth at Agneepath, here’s what he said

New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday (June 25) assured the candidates of the armed forces who expressed concern over the new Agneepath scheme that after their four-year contractual service is over, efforts will be made to accommodate them. Singh was speaking at a mega event ‘Zee Sammelan’ where top politicians are discussing current burning issues and offering solutions. The Defense Minister made the remarks in the wake of protests across the country against the Agneepath scheme, under which 75% of firefighters will have to take voluntary retirement after four years.

Singh said that the youth are being ‘misled’ about the Agneepath scheme, whenever a new scheme comes, there are many apprehensions among the people. But whatever problems will come in this, it has been discussed. However, at the same time I would also like to say that when we get B.Tech or medical degree after spending lakhs, is there any guarantee of job after that? The answer is no,” said the senior BJP leader.

In addition, he said that the government would ensure that agniveer The job aspirants will be suitably accommodated after four years of service. “You will get to see this in the times to come,” he said.

Singh, who was the first speaker zee conclaveSaid that today the voice of India is heard on the international stage. The Union Minister said, “The condition and direction of the country has changed due to the Narendra Modi government.” He also claimed that in the last 8 years of the Modi government, there has not been a single major terrorist incident in the country except in Jammu and Kashmir. The Defense Minister also spoke on other issues including economy, India-China conflict and Pakistan.
