Zee Cine Awards: Vivek Agnihotri Dedicates Award For The Kashmir Files To Murdered Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma

New Delhi: Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s highly acclaimed film ‘The Kashmir Files’ garnered worldwide love last year and even after a year of its release, the film is garnering appreciation for its amazing filmography and incredible performances. This time again, ‘The Kashmir Files’ won accolades for the ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Screenplay’, ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ awards at the Zee Cine Awards 2023.

The filmmaker accepted the awards and dedicated them to 40-year-old Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma, who was shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama while he was on his way to a local market. Sanjay, who worked as an ATM guard, was shot in the chest at around 11 am, barely 100 meters from his residence in Achan area of ​​South Kashmir district. Vivek shared several pictures from the award ceremony on Twitter and dedicated his win at the Zee Cine Awards to the slain Kashmiri Pandit.

He tweeted, “Announcement & Gratitude: People’s film #TheKashmirFiles wins Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actor & Best Actor in a Negative Role at the #ZeeCineAwards2023. We dedicate this award to Martyr Sanjay Sharma who died in Kashmir yesterday.” Sacrificed his life for religious terrorism.” ,
