z-morh: Gardakri to drive through Z-Morh project’s escape tunnel – Times of India

Sonmarg: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari Will be the first to ride through the Escape Tunnel Z-Morh Tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. The tunnel will ensure all-weather connectivity between Gangagir and Sonmarg, which is closed to traffic for about six months during winters.
According to NHIDCL, which is implementing the project, may also make it easier for commuters to travel to Sonmarg during the next winter as they will complete the “escape tunnel”, which can be opened for traffic for a fixed period of time.

On Tuesday, Gadkari will also review the progress of Asia’s longest Zojila tunnel project.
