YouTuber Elvish Yadav, who was incarcerated in Noida Jail, has been granted bail. The bail was granted on the sixth day, on a 50,000 bail bond. The former Bigg Boss OTT winner had been in prison since March 17. Due to the lawyers’ strike, the hearing regarding his bail could not take place on Thursday and was instead pushed to Friday. The court eventually deliberated and provided relief to Elvish before Holi.

Elvish Yadav’s lawyer Prashant Rathi told the media, “Our arguments in this case was that he was falsely accused and no substance was obtained from him or his friends that violated the NDPS act. The court has granted bail to him (Elvish Yadav) as well as his two friends on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each…”

Why Was Elvish Yadav Arrested?
Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav was arrested by Noida Police in a snake poisoning case. The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, they said.
In early November, it was reported that raids were conducted in Noida Sector 49, and five cobra snakes were recovered from the raid. It was revealed that nine other snakes were also rescued in the raid, while snake venom was also found at the spot. In the investigations that followed, the people who were arrested took the name of Elvish.
In February, police officials revealed that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report found venom of cobra and krait species of snakes in samples seized from the party.
In a video that went viral on social media at the time, Elvish addressed the news coverage around the development in the snake venom case. He was heard saying, “Elvish Yadav, kaha tha rave party mein? Police ne toh nahi batayi. Plice ko toh nahi mila, main toh Bombay tha. PFA Google karoge toh samaj aa jayega tumhe kya rule hai. kisi bhi normal aadmi pe jhootha case lagate hai aur fir paise maangte hai usse case vapas lene ke liye. Ye prove kar ke dikha do ki main vaha tha aur meri rave party thi, nanga hokar naachunga main.”
Elvish was also questioned on November 7, 2023, in connection to the case. During his interrogation, Yadav claimed that snakes to the alleged rave party in Noida were supplied by singer Fazilpuria. A video of the YouTuber holding snakes also went viral on social media. However, Fazilpuria later clarified that the viral video was from one of his album shoots.
Elvish Yadav was called in for questioning by the Noida Police on March 17 and was later arrested. After the questioning, the police presented Elvish in court, where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Later, Noida Police also arrested two more suspects, Ishwar and Vinay, in a case involving the smuggling of snakes and their venom.
DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra said, ‘A case was registered under the Wildlife Protection Act-1972 against (Elvish Yadav and others). They were called in for questioning today.’
Vidya Sagar said, ‘The case is being investigated. During this time, those whose names come up or who are found in evidence will be questioned personally. The video is being scrutinized in detail. We are observing the entire video footage and investigating each person’s role. Those who are identified will be questioned. There are several videos available on YouTube, and we are also investigating them.’
Meanwhile, his parents appeared on an ABP TV show and said that their son’s arrest has left them heartbroken. Speaking in Hindi, his mother Sushma Yadav said, “We haven’t eaten anything in three days. Itna sir ucha kiya hai bete ne ke chaaro taraq wah wahi hai. Bigg Boss ke dauran aisehi pyaar nahi diya tha logo ne. Kuch dekh ke diya tha. Usko sab samman karte hai. Garv ki baat hai (The son has achieved such great heights that he’s renowned everywhere. People didn’t show much love during Bigg Boss. They gave it after seeing something in him. Everyone respects him. It’s a matter of pride).”
His father added, “Kehta hai zeher khaata hai woh. Khaa ke dekho na koi. Daswaye koi saanp jo keh raha hai. Kamaal hai (They are saying he takes poison. Try it – if anyone can. It’s unbelievable).”
