Popular YouTuber CarryMinati conducted a live stream for the victims of the Odisha train accident.

Popular YouTuber and prominent gaming influencer, Ajay Nagar – who goes by the nickname CarryMinati – hosted a four-hour charity stream on his YouTube channel CarryisLive on Saturday night for the victims of the Odisha train accident. Three trains collided with each other on Friday, in one of the biggest rail accidents in recent years. With the death toll crossing 280, CarryMinati hosted a livestream to raise funds to donate to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund – Government of Odisha.

It is learned that the livestream earned Rs 11,87,612 while Minati personally contributed Rs 1.5 lakh. Talking about the accident and the fundraiser, CarryMinati said, “It is heartbreaking to see these disturbing scenes. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this shocking incident. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. In times like these, we all need to come together and work towards the common goal of being with each other on a human level. I am grateful to all those who supported this noble cause and came together to express their support and solidarity.

This isn’t the first time the internet personality has hosted such a fundraiser. Earlier, he hosted a similar charity stream in 2020 for the flood-ravaged states of Assam and Bihar. He had raised Rs 12 lakh at that time, which included Rs 1 lakh personally contributed by Minati.

He also contributed to the relief work of Kerala floods in 2018, Pulwama attack martyrs, Odisha Cyclone Fani in 2019; Australia Bush Fire, Assam Flood, Bihar Flood and COVID’19 in 2020 and Assam Flood in 2022.
