Ghani had allegedly snatched an AK-47 service rifle from a CRPF jawan, who was on duty in the low-lying area of ​​Rajpora in South Kashmir district.

Hours after a CRPF jawan was allegedly snatched a rifle from him in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police brought back the youth with the help of his family, a senior police officer said on Sunday.

Additional Director General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that the snatched weapon has also been recovered.

Taking to Twitter, Kumar said, “Police with the help of family brought back Irfan Bashir Gani alias Soba Gani, around 25 years, from Pulwama along with an AK-47 rifle, which he had snatched from CRPF personnel this morning.”

He said that investigation is going on in the matter.

“We appreciate the role of the family,” Kumar said.
