Guruvayoorambalanadayil will mark Yogi Babu’s debut in Malayalam cinema.

Yogi Babu, best known for his comic roles in Tamil films, has joined the cast of Malayalam film Guruvayurambalanadayil. The film’s production house E4 Entertainment informed us about the development on Instagram. Along with the update, he also shared a picture of Yogi Babu with director Vipin Das. Guruvayoorambalandayil will be Yogi Babu’s first film in Malayalam cinema.

This update has also been shared by Vipin Das on Instagram. “Welcome to Malayalam cinema. So happy to share my Easter Egg with you all. None other than Yogi Babu on board at Guruvayurambalandayil”, he wrote in the caption. Actor Basil Joseph, who will also play a pivotal role in Guruvayoorambalandayil, expressed happiness over the update. Actors Akshay Satheedevi Radhakrishnan and Sheetal Shyam were also happy with the role of Yogi Babu. Vipin Das has not yet disclosed about the character of Yogi Babu in this film. Cine lovers feel that this could be a comic role considering his excellence in portraying such roles.

Guruvayoorambalandayil is written by Deepu Pradeep, who had earlier scripted Kunjiramayanam. Along with E4Entertainment, it is also backed by Prithviraj Productions. The story of the film has not been revealed yet. According to the reports, Guruvayoorambalandayil could be a comedy film, in which Basil Joseph is playing the lead role. Prithviraj Sukumaran will play the antagonist. Mamita Baiju and Nikhila Vimal are expected to play the female leads. There is no official confirmation of this. Guruvayoorambalandayil is expected to go on the floor soon.
