Yogi Adityanath ROARS after Azamgarh, Rampur wins bypoll

Azamgarh bypoll victory: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that BJP’s impressive victory in Azamgarh (Lok Sabha) and Rampur (Lok Sabha) is the result of welfare policies of the ‘double engine BJP government’.

“Historic victory in by-election in Azamgarh Sadar Lok Sabha seat is the result of welfare policies of ‘Double Engine BJP Government’ under the leadership of respected Prime Minister. This victory is dedicated to all hardworking workers of BJP. Thanks people of Azamgarh!” Yogi Adityanath tweeted.

Later addressing a press conference, Adityanath said that “the message sent by the people is that they are not ready to accept dynastic and casteist parties that instigate communal tension”. Adityanath announced that BJP candidate Ghanshyam Lodhi from Rampur and Dinesh Lal Yadav from Azamgarh won ‘Nirhau’. However, the official announcement of the result of Azamgarh by-election is awaited.

“The results of the bypolls have indicated the outcome of the 2024 general elections,” the chief minister said. The bypolls in Uttar Pradesh were held due to the resignation of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and party leader Azam Khan from Azamgarh and Rampur seats respectively.
