Sidharth Malhotra’s highly-anticipated film, Yodha, was finally released in cinemas on March 15. The film also features Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani in prominent roles, and before the release, the cast left no stone unturned to promote the action entertainer. According to Sacnilk.com, Yodha performed decently on its first day at the box office and earned an estimated Rs 4.10 Cr India net. On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Yodha saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 18.83%, with morning shows registering 9.80%, afternoon shows at 16.26%, evening shows at 20.10%, and night shows at 29.14%. It earned a total of Rs 9.85 crore.

The overall occupancy in popular hubs like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore was 20.50%, 18.50% and 22% respectively. However, Chennai had the maximum occupancy at a whopping 61.25%.

News18 gave the film 4/5 stars. Our review read, “Yodha is no Shershaah because – let’s face it – neither does it make for an intense and iconic love story nor does it engulf you with the spirit of patriotism. So, don’t raise your expectations. Not every Sidharth starrer patriotic actioner can be a Shershaah. If you nip that analogy right in the bud, you may actually end up enjoying Yodha. It’s a true blue mass entertainer peppered with moments (and some predictable twists) that will make you clap and whistle. And at 133 minutes, it’s a quick-paced narrative that only drops pace post-interval but manages to get going again.”

“The action sequences are slick with Jishnu Bhattacharjee’s spiffy lens work adding an extra layer of sheen to this new-age action thriller. Most of them happen within the closed space of an aeroplane and action directors Craig Macrae and Sunil Rodrigues deserve a huge round of applause. The stunts are novel and even elaborate and long-drawn stunt choreographies won’t be able to make you take your eyes off the screen,” the review also read.
