According to a report in IWMBuzz.com, Rajan Shahi has roped in Pranali Rathod to play the new lead role in ‘Yeh Rishta’. She will replace Shivangi, who has been a part of the show for the last five years.
The portal report states that Pranali will be seen as Akshara, daughter of Kartik and Naira.

Another report on IWMBuzz.com suggested that Harshad has been roped in to play the protagonist in the show. The makers are yet to confirm the development.
Harshad has worked in many shows like ‘Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil’, ‘Tere’ Liye‘,’bepannaah Love’, to name a few. He has been missing from the small screen for a long time. It remains to be seen whether the makers will rope him or any other actor.
