Yamunanagar: Police have registered a case of murder after a man was allegedly brutally murdered on the banks of river Yamuna in Mali Majra village of the district. Yamunanagar on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Govind Ram (32) of Nawazpur village in Yamunanagar district, who was missing from his house since Thursday.

Complainant Deepak told the police, “On Thursday around 12.30 pm my brother Govind had left the house on his bike and had informed that he was going to Yamunanagar to collect money from someone. At 3.30 pm, Govind’s wife called on his phone. And he told that he is in Amadalpur village and it is raining. Later, my sister-in-law and I called on Govind’s phone several times but got no response. Around 8 PM, his phone responded as switched off. ”
Deepak alleged, “Mobin of Lapra village and his family members killed Govind and threw the body somewhere.”
Govind’s family members gathered at the Civil Hospital Jagadhri on Saturday and briefly protested, demanding the arrest of all those involved in the murder and transfer of the case to the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the district police.
Radaur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajat Gulia Reached the hospital to convince the family members and assured a fair investigation.
