Yami Gautam ties up with NGOs to help victims of sexual assault

Actress Yami Gautam has joined hands with two NGOs – Majlis and Pari (People Against Rape in India) to support victims of sexual assault and work towards their rehabilitation.

Yami said, “Today with great pride I would like to share that I have joined hands with two NGOs who are continuously collaborating and working towards the rehabilitation of women victims of sexual assault.”

She elaborated that women’s safety has a long way to go and her association with NGOs for this purpose emanates from this theme.

“The need to work on these issues stems from issues of women’s safety that still exist. Although some progress has been made, there is still a long way to go,” she said.

“My association with the NGO is just the beginning and in the near future, I would like to contribute more in helping women from all walks of life get better resources to protect and support them,” she added.
