New Delhi: The launch of Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India is scheduled for April 27, the company announced on Tuesday. As expected earlier, the smartphone maker announced the launch on Twitter. The company also mentioned that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be a “showstopper”. Earlier this month, Xiaomi India confirmed that the device will be unveiled in the country in April, moments before the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Xiaomi 12 Pro will compete with OnePlus 10 Pro, the recently launched Realme GT 2 Pro and Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S22 series. The India launch of the Xiaomi 12 Pro will come weeks after its unveiling in the company’s home turf China, where it debuted at a starting price of CNY 4,699 or around Rs 56,200.
Specs and Features of Xiaomi 12 Pro
As the name suggests, the Xiaomi 12 Pro handset will be a flagship from the manufacturer and will feature the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone flaunts a 6.73-inch 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. Xiaomi 12 Pro runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
The device packs a triple-camera setup at the back, led by a 50MP Sony IMX 707 sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera at the front with a hole-punch cutout on the screen. The battery capacity is 4,600mAh with support for an insane 120W wired fast charging. Other Xiaomi 12 Pro features include NFC, 5G connectivity, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint reader.
