The prize money for the current ICC World Test Championship cycle (2021-23) has been announced, with the winner getting $1.6 million (roughly Rs. 13.22 crore), while the runner-up will be awarded $8 million (Rs 6.61 crore). crore approx.)

In the final of the WTC, India and Australia will clash at The Oval in London from June 7.

The total purse of the championship remained unchanged with USD 3.8 million to be shared among the nine teams.

During the inaugural championship, New Zealand, led by Kane Williamson, defeated India by eight wickets in the final to earn USD 1.6 million, the tournament lasting six days due to rain interruptions.

All nine teams will have a purse of $3.8 million with South Africa earning USD 450,000 for finishing third in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 standings. England, who took a late lead and ended their campaign in fourth place, will get US$350,000.

Sri Lanka, who were among the top teams in the race for the deciding spot during the epic finale, finished fifth to earn USD 200,000.

The remaining teams New Zealand (No. 6), Pakistan (No. 7), West Indies (No. 8), and Bangladesh (No. 9) will each be awarded an amount of US$100,000.

Meanwhile, some members of the Indian team have already reached England.
