World’s most expensive french fries (chips) cost $200 USD – Times of India

When it comes to snacking outside, french fries are such a favorite of everyone that we all love to grab some refreshing dips and a cool aerated drink. It goes really well with sandwiches, burgers, and even makes a perfect substitute for a mezze platter. This pocket-friendly snack has recently been revamped by a restaurant in the United States, and they have prepared the world’s most expensive French fries which cost around Rs. 15k for a portion. And if reports are to be believed then he has broken the world record by making this delicious fries recipe.

Manhattan-based fast food restaurant Serendipty3 recently broke into the Guinness World Records by cooking the ‘Ultimate’ Cheesy French Fries – Creme de la Creme Pomme Frites, according to the Guinness World Records website.

According to the official report, “Price of $200 USD, Creative Chef, Joe Calderone, and Corporate Executive Chef, Frederic Schoen-Kievert whip up the new food item to provide guests with a unique and delicious French fry experience.”

In a recent Instagram post by Serendipty3, she mentions that these fries are made from Upstate Chipperbeck Potatoes, Dom Pérignon Champagne and J. LeBlanc French Champagne is made with Ardenne vinegar, Guerande truffle salt, Urbani Summer truffle oil and topped with shaved Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartuffello, and 23k edible gold dust. In a recent IGTV video, GWR’s official page mentioned that these expensive fries are served on a Baccarat crystal plate, with a matching bowl to hold Mornay sauce for dipping the golden fries.

In a statement published on GWR’s website, Chef Joe Calderone, Creative Director of Serendipity3, said, “We are extremely honored to be recognized by Guinness World Records for the creation of the world’s most expensive French fries, the Creme de la Creme Pommes frites, and look forward to creating more great recipes in the future.”
