World Health Day: TV stars reveal how they stay fit despite busy work schedules

World Health Day is observed every year on April 7th to improve quality of life and spread awareness about the importance of good health. On this day, TV actors Shivya Pathania (Devi Parvati, Baal Shiv), Farhana Fatema (Shanti Mishra, Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?) Yogesh Tripathi (Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Aasif Sheikh (Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, Bhabiji) Ghar Par Hai) express the significance of staying fit and reveal their daily routine to stay healthy.

Shivya Pathania shared, “During my teens, I used to be a bit fat, but soon realized the importance of staying fit and started following a healthy fitness regime. I believe that taking the right ratio of protein and nutrition increases one’s ability to stay active. I now enjoy my disciplined lifestyle to the fullest. I make sure that I eat all my three meals on time and get enough sleep.

“When it comes to my mental health, I really believe in holistic healing. Yoga gives me peace of mind which ultimately helps with my mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Begin each day with meditation Do, followed by yoga postures such as Cat Pose, Twist Pose, Forward Bend Pose etc., make me feel light and energetic throughout the day.”

Actress Shivya Pathania says yoga and meditation help her take care of her mental health.

Farhana Fatema says, “I have been fond of fitness and yoga for many years. Practicing yoga has helped me a lot to relieve stress and relax my muscles. My day starts with a fruit bowl consisting of chopped fresh fruits with milk and dry fruits, which is a perfectly planned meal. Despite having a busy work schedule, I never miss a day without meditation, and this helps me perform well as an artist. Whether in the car or on set, I meditate before my shots. After the lockdown, I’ve seen a lot of awareness among people about prioritizing their mental health, and I think that’s great because inner happiness is more important. On this World Health Day, I urge everyone to love their body and prioritize a healthy lifestyle.”

Farhana Fatema is fond of fitness and yoga for many years.

Yogesh Tripathi shared, “Food is an important part of my life, and I am used to tasting everything. I usually start my day by drinking coconut water or fruit juice. Throughout the day, I eat a wide variety of foods, including complex carbohydrates, salads, beans and vegetable bread. No man can be wise on an empty stomach, so it doesn’t take much to make sure we’re eating right. So eat whatever you want, but the quantity should be balanced. As I am shooting most days and traveling every day for about two to three hours, I do some cardio and freehand exercises on the sets. One should love one’s body and never take it lightly.”

Asif Sheikh says, “Fitness does not mean looking fit, but building your inner strength and keeping your mind calm. There is no doubt that a healthy body builds a strong immune system. A healthy diet regime And a positive mind ensures the natural glow that no medicine or surgery can give. I have been working out for the longest time but never miss my fitness routine. As it takes less time to reach the sets of my show from my home It takes less than one and a half hours, so I meditate, study and practice yoga on my way in the car. I have been an avid cricket player in my young days and sports have also helped me develop a healthy and fit body. I want all the youth to engage more in outdoor sports to stay fit and stay fit.
