World Haemophilia Day is observed every year on 17 April across the world. It is celebrated to honor the birthday of Frank Schnabel, a Canadian businessman who was born with severe hemophilia. The day is currently celebrated on a large scale to raise awareness about hemophilia and better understanding and diagnosis of the bleeding disorder.
The theme for this year’s World Hemophilia Day is “Access for All: Partnerships. Policy. progress. Involving your government, integrating inherited bleeding disorders into national policy.”
