MG Motor has also undertaken various initiatives with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Jio-bp and Castrol to build a reliable EV charging ecosystem, including free-of-cost charging stations and vehicle service assistance. On March 7, the company launched the new MG ZS EV, post the launch of its predecessor in 2020.
Available at a starting price of Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2022 MG ZS EV is offered in two variants – Excite and Exclusive. The higher-spec MG ZS Exclusive variant is priced at Rs 25.88 lakh (ex-showroom). As far as the exterior is concerned, the new MG ZS EV has received a revised front fascia with hawk-eye LED headlamps, integrated LED Daytime Running Lights, LED tail-lamps and revised front and rear bumpers.
The side profile of the 2022 MG ZS EV is flanked by black-coloured body cladding and 17-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the new MG ZS EV gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a 7-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, leather-layered dashboard, dual pane panoramic sunroof and more.
Mechanically, the new ZS EV is powered by a 50.3 kWh battery pack and an electric motor, cumulatively churning out a peak power of 176 PS. Offering a range of 461 km per charge, the EV sprints from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.
