The Women’s T20 Challenge 2022 was won by Harmanpreet Kaur’s Supernovas by defeating Velocity by a tight margin of four runs in a nerve-wracking final at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, 28 May.
When the crowd was on the edge of their seats in the final two overs of the game, Laura Wolvaardt smashed it across the park, Supernovas captain Harmanpreet Kaur kept her calm and marshaled her troops for their third title in four editions of the tournament. . ,
Speaking after the game, Harmanpreet said that she would be quite calm during the final overs of the game.

Velocity’s opening pair of Shafali Verma and Yastika Bhatia got off to a flying start in their chase of 166 with 28 in the first two overs, but suffered a batting collapse before the latter could lift Wolvaardt’s hopes.
“The first over was not in our favor but I knew if we got two wickets early, the match could turn around for us. We were getting wickets at the right time. When Pooja started, we planned something else. Made it, but she couldn’t. Throw away what we were thinking. It happens.”
