Woman arrested in UP’s Muzaffarnagar for killing her husband by impotent.
In Muzaffarnagar district, a 57-year-old cleric died after being castrated by his wife for planning to marry for the third time.
The accused was his second wife and has been arrested.
The woman told investigators that he attacked her with a sharp-edged kitchen knife while he was sleeping. He said that he had her castrated and he was put to death.
Hajra, the second wife of a local cleric, lawyer Ahmed, had earlier pleaded with him not to marry for the third time, but the man had made up his mind.
The incident took place in Shikarpur village on Friday night and Hazra was arrested on Saturday. His first wife was not at home at the time of the incident.
A police team from Bhora Kalan police station reached his house and the man’s body was sent for postmortem.
Fugana deputy SP Sharad Chand Sharma said, “The woman has confessed to her crime. Her husband wanted to remarry and she wanted to stop him. Their argument turned into a big fight.”
Bhora Kalan SHO Jitendra Singh said that a case has been registered against him under section 302 (murder) of IPC and sent to jail.
Further investigation is going on.
