‘Wish You Were Here’: Sara Tendulkar’s Special Raksha Bandhan Wishes For Brother Arjun – WATCH

New Delhi: Rakshabandhan, the festival of brother-sister love and bond, is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Phase 2. Arjun was bought by Mumbai Indians in this year’s auction for his base price of 2 crores. Although Arjun has not got a chance to play a single match so far.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians on Sunday shared a video of a heartwarming conversation between Sara and Arjun on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Mumbai Indians captioned the video on Twitter, “Separated by the sea, bound by a brother-sister bond. Presenting the heartfelt #OneFamily conversation on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.”

Arjun said during a conversation with Sara, “I miss you a lot. And I wish you were there to tie a rakhi on me. And I wish I could give you a nice gift in return.” Sara replied to Arjun, “I know I am waiting for my gift… you didn’t give me a gift last year also.”

In the video, apart from Arjun, other players of Mumbai Indians are also seen wishing their sisters on Rakshabandhan.

Mumbai Indians have to play their first match against Chennai Super Kings on 19 September in the second leg of IPL 2021.

Mumbai Indians did well before the IPL was postponed in mid-2021 as the team won 4 out of 7 matches, while they lost three matches. In IPL 2020, Mumbai won the title for a record fifth time by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final in the United Arab Emirates itself and became the second team in history after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to defend the IPL title in the Indian Premier League.
