Novak Djokovic admitted he didn’t start well during his semi-final win over Cameron Nori on Friday.

Djokovic didn’t have a good start as the British star overtook him to secure a 6-2 scoreline in the first set. However, the Serbian returned in top fashion as he stunned Norrie and the center court crowd with a fierce fight.

The No. 1 seed made quick wins in the second and third sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-3. While Norrie tried to resist Djokovic by claiming victory in the fourth set, the Serbian was much stronger as he reached his eighth Wimbledon final.

Speaking after the game, Djokovic admitted he didn’t have the best start in the game and said the British star was the best player in the first set. He also said that Nori was probably playing the tournament of his life and added that he has a lot of respect for the 26-year-old.

“I didn’t start well. He was the better player for the first set. Cameron didn’t have much to lose. He’s probably playing the tournament of his life. I wish him the best, he’s a great player, I There is a lot of respect for him,” Djokovic said.

Awaiting Djokovic in the final is Nick Kyrgios, who received a bye after an abdominal injury forced Rafael Nadal to withdraw from the semi-final match.

Speaking about the clash on Sunday, Djokovic told fans to expect fireworks. He said the two men haven’t played against each other in a long time and haven’t won a set from No. 1 seed Kyrgios.

“There’s going to be a lot of fireworks! We haven’t played in a while. He never won a set,” Djokovic said.
