Priyanka Deshpande, the lead presenter of Vijay TV, has hosted various reality TV shows, including Jodi, Super Singer and Start Music. Priyanka was hosting the season 8 of Super Singer. However, recently she traveled to Hyderabad with her Bigg Boss 5 friends Madhu and Abhishek.
Priyanka’s visit has come as a surprise to many as she has been hosting the show for two consecutive weeks. The makers have now roped in Maina Nandini to host the show. Seeing Priyanka leaving the show midway and traveling to Hyderabad, fans are speculating whether she will continue the show as a host. As the news is going viral, it has further established the fact that the makers may continue with Maina Nandini. However, no official announcement has been made. Prior to Priyanka, the show was co-hosted by Maina Nandini along with Makapa.
Super Singer Vijay is a Singing reality show on TV which is running in its eighth season. When Priyanka first started hosting the show, fans named her Super Priyanka. Today, he is one of the highest paid television presenters in the Tamil industry.
Priyanka also runs a YouTube channel in which she shares glimpses of her personal life, trending challenges and travel vlogs. She has a huge following on the platform, with over 1.44M subscribers on YouTube.
Priyanka participated in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 and became the first runner-up. He had earlier also posted a video thanking his fans for supporting him in his journey to the Bigg Boss house.
Born in Karnataka to a middle-class family, Priyanka started her career with Zee TV and later joined Sun Network as a VJ. As Priyanka progressed in her career, Vijay TV gave her several opportunities to host reality shows, which helped her achieve celebrity anchor status in the industry. In 2016, Priyanka was also awarded the Anand Vikatan Cinema Award for Best Female Anchor for her commendable work.
