Amid speculations that Prashant Kishor would join the Congress, the election strategist held a meeting with party president Sonia Gandhi and senior leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Ambika Soni, Ajay Maken, Divyajay Singh, Jairam Ramesh, AK Antony. and KC Venugopal.
According to several reports, the Congress has chosen an election strategist to plan the Gujarat Assembly elections.
Interestingly, only a few months back, Kishor had criticized the Congress leadership. In a candid take on Rahul Gandhi, Kishor had said, “The space represented by the Congress is important, but its leadership is not a “divine right of an individual”, especially when it has lost 90 per cent of the elections in the last 10 years. “
He had even said that the BJP would remain at the center of Indian politics and would go nowhere for “the next several decades”, whether it wins or loses.
