Hitting out at the Congress party, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj floated a resolution for the old party, stating that if it does not contest elections in Delhi and Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will also not contest the upcoming elections . The polls in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan come at a time when the AAP is hoping to get support from the Congress against the Centre’s ordinance on deregulation of administrative services in Delhi.

The AAP leader said, “The Congress party got zero seats in Delhi in 2015 and 2020 assembly elections. If Congress says they will not contest elections in Delhi-Punjab, we will also say that we will not contest elections in Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan.” Will fight.” Addressing a press conference here in the national capital on Thursday.

Saurabh Bhardwaj also took a dig at the old party by calling it a ‘copy-cat-Congress’ and said that it lacks itself, so they are stealing the manifesto of the Aam Aadmi Party.

He said, “Congress is the oldest party of the country. But, today it has become CCC, copy-cut-Congress. They are looting everything of Arvind Kejriwal. They have no idea of their survival. Now this It is coming to the fore that Congress is not only lacking in leadership but also lacking in ideas.Congress does not have such mechanism to know the aspirations of the people.

Bhardwaj said, “The biggest example of this is that today the country’s oldest party, the country’s newest party, is stealing AAP’s manifesto. Arvind Kejriwal called our manifesto a guarantee. Congress has stolen this word guarantee.”

He further said that the Congress party had earlier made fun of AAP’s free electricity and monthly allowance to women, but now it itself is promising schemes in other states.

“When we talked about giving free electricity in Delhi, the Congress mocked us. But, it copied Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee in Himachal Pradesh and promised 300 units of free electricity. mocked, but later announced it in Himachal and Karnataka itself.”

He also took a jibe at the Congress for not being able to decide whether to support AAP or not on the ordinance issue. “Decisions are often delayed in the Congress party. They could not form the government in Goa on time and the BJP split the party and snatched the MLA,” he said.

From 23 May, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal embarked on a nationwide tour to seek support from opposition parties against the ordinance. The party also organized a mega rally against the ordinance on 11 May at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan.

AAP’s national convenor has so far met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Are. Stalin, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav.

The central government on May 19 brought an ordinance to notify rules for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) with regard to ‘transfer postings, vigilance and other relevant matters’. The ordinance was brought to amend the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991 and override the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Center Vs Delhi case.
