Rajat Patidar shares a message for RCB loyalists after being ruled out of IPL 2023 due to heel injury
Royal Challengers Bangalore recently suffered a major setback when Rajat Patidar was ruled out. IPL 2023. Initially, the Madhya Pradesh batsman was expected to miss the initial phase of the league campaign, however, RCB on Tuesday confirmed that the middle-order batsman will not be there this season.
While the RCB management was expected to have Patidar for the later stages of IPL 2023, the franchise has confirmed that Patidar will not play any role this season, and they are yet to announce his replacement.
Patidar shared a picture on his Instagram stories on Wednesday, thanking RCB fans for their support and also said that he will continue to cheer for Faf du Plessis.
“Unfortunately, Rajat Patidar has been ruled out of #IPL2023 due to a heel injury. We wish Rajat a speedy recovery and will continue to support him through the process. The coach and management have not yet decided to name a replacement player for Rajat,” RCB had earlier tweeted.
The 29-year-old shared a picture of himself wearing an RCB blazer along with a heartfelt note for RCB fans.

While batting coach Sanjay Bangar had expected Patidar to be available at some stage during IPL 2023, the latest development comes as a major blow to RCB’s hopes of winning a maiden IPL title.
Patidar himself did well last year as he scored 333 runs in 8 matches for the franchise, including a blistering hundred in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants, which helped RCB beat LSG and qualify for Qualifier 2. In which they were soundly defeated by Rajasthan Royals. ,
