Ajit Pawar said, ‘The way Raj Thackeray used to pay attention to his uncle, I will also pay attention to my uncle’
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar on Thursday said in a sarcastic remark that he would learn something from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s book while dealing with his uncle, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.
Pawar’s retort came in response to Thackeray’s ‘advice’ in an interview conducted by Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and NCP MP Amol Kolhe.
Thackeray said that Ajit Pawar should give as much attention to his uncle as he keeps out.
When asked by reporters in Pune about the remark, Ajit Pawar said, “The way Raj Thackeray took care of his uncle, I will also take care of my uncle.”
Significantly, the MNS chief started his outfit in 2006 after breaking away from his uncle, Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray.
