Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi on Sunday told members of the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) would be constituted to probe interstate financial fraud cases and assured traders and businessmen. He said that the police and the government would help him resolve the issue.

“Responding to the financial frauds reported by the Chamber, the Minister said that an SIT would be constituted to help traders recover money in fraud cases in other states, police would go to different states and financial Will help in resolving those arising out of transactions. Sanghvi made these statements in a meeting with representatives and members of RCCI and other organizations based in Rajkot at the city’s Circuit House.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Sanghvi said that RCCI has registered 79 cases of financial fraud. “As per the suggestions given in Rajkot” BJP Leaders, a SIT has been announced today,” he said.

“In the coming weeks, this SIT will investigate complaints and applications, identify the total number of cases and then form teams for different states. These teams will visit various states to investigate these cases.

Sanghvi said he was confident that the SIT would settle the disputes. “As soon as these teams visit those states and start investigation, I am sure that the traders who are not responding to the phone calls of Rajkot traders will actively call the Rajkot traders and thus most cases. will be resolved,” he said. Sanghvi said that SIT has already been constituted in Ahmedabad to probe 55 such cases of financial fraud.

He said that the SIT of Rajkot city police would include officers like Joint Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Inspector of Police etc.
