Ludhiana: State Industries and Commerce Minister Gurkeerat Singh Kotli On Monday, held a meeting with office bearers of several boards and corporations in Chandigarh.
In this first meeting with Kotli, about five chairman, vice chairman and others from Ludhiana were present. Various issues related to the industry like promotion of existing infrastructure, carving out of new industrial areas and problems faced by traders of different departments were also discussed during the meeting. The Industries Minister also informed that on Wednesday he will be in Ludhiana to attend a meeting organized by Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) at a city hotel.
Kotli also urged all the participants of the meeting to make the upcoming investor summit a success. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Punjab government will organize the 4th edition of Pragatisheel Punjab Investors Summit, which will offer a glimpse of the vast opportunities for building and nurturing business in the state. The summit, scheduled to be held on 26 and 27 October, will be held virtually with all India industry leaders and a special state session will be held in Ludhiana on 27 October in the state’s industrial capital, Ludhiana.
The Industries Minister also said, “Now, I have been given the responsibility” industries And I will leave no stone unturned to bring more and more industries to the state which will not only help in generating employment but will also boost the economy. I would also request the central government to provide special package and incentives to the industries in the state. I have also asked the concerned officials to look into the viable option for setting up land banks for setting up industries in the state, so that investors who want to set up their enterprises in the state do not face any trouble in getting land at a suitable location. ”
Meanwhile, the Industries Minister also visited the office of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC) and assured Chairman Krishan Kumar Bawa of further strengthening PSIDC, which plays a vital role in the development of industries. The meeting was attended by Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) Chairman Gurpreet Bassi, Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan, Punjab Infotech Corporation Chairman SMS Sandhu, Punjab Medium Industrial Development Board Chairman Amarjit Singh Tikka and Vice Chairman Suresh Gogia, Vice Chairman. were involved.
