New Delhi: Neha Singh Rathore, a folk singer who shot to fame with her hugely popular song “UP Mein Ka Ba”, has been trending big time on Twitter and Google searches. As per the trends, there have been over 16,000 tweets on Neha Singh Rathore and a huge amount of searches for the singer on major search platforms like Google on Wednesday.

Who is Neha Singh Rathore?


Neha Singh Rathore is a singer who rose to fame for her song “UP Mein Ka Ba” which was released ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2022. He had earlier received critical acclaim for his song “Bihar Mein Ka Ba” released in 2020.

Rathore’s song ‘UP Mein Ka Ba’ went viral that year and criticized the Adityanath government ahead of the previous year’s elections. The singer is also known for her satire on prominent Bihar leaders like Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav.


Why has he been given a legal notice?



The Kanpur Police recently served a notice to “UP Mein Ka Ba” fame Neha Singh Rathor for allegedly spreading hatred through her song video. The notice was served to her after the famous folk singer released the second part of the song “UP Mein Ka Ba”, which was reportedly not received well by the UP police. In his latest song, Rathore questions the process of the Yogi Adityanath government’s ongoing bulldozing campaign and the recent death of two women in Kanpur Dehat.

UP Police has asked the singer to confirm that it is she who is seen in the video, who wrote the lyrics and whether she was standing by him. Through the notice, the police have also asked her to state whether she was “aware of the adverse impact of the video on the society”.

The UP Police in its notice said, “This song has created enmity and tension in the society, and you are legally bound to clarify your stand on this issue. Therefore, you have to file your reply within three days of receiving the notice.” Gotta do it.” ,


What does Neha Singh Rathore say?


Responding to the UP police notice, Rathore says she will keep singing. She said that she is not afraid of them and will not be afraid at all. “Last time he trolled me a lot. Why should I stop now… I am not scared and I will talk to my lawyers.” The singer also shared a video confirming that she has been sent a legal notice.

Meanwhile, several top politicians including Manish Sisodia and Akhilesh Yadav have condemned the UP Police’s action against the popular singer.
