International Malala Day 2022: International Malala Day is observed on 12 July to salute Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, who worked for women’s right to education around the world. Born in the Swat Valley, Malala was never allowed to enter school because the Taliban had banned girls from going to school in Pakistan. However, she refused to stay at home and advocated for girls’ right to education. She was almost killed for it too.
