Halle and DDG first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted together at Usher’s Las Vegas residency together in Jan. 2022, with the 25-year-old confirming the relationship with a birthday tribute to Halle on Instagram that March.
They made their red carpet debut just a few months later at the 2022 BET Awards in June. But while their romance blossomed a little more than a year ago, their admiration for one another goes way back.
“I’ve been a fan of his for years,” Halle admitted to Essence last August. “I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them.”
When asked if she was “in love” with DDG, the singer revealed, “Yeah. I would say that.”
