Why doesn’t Bollywood make films on ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’? Swapnil Joshi revealed

The mythological TV series ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’ have surpassed all television records and many of these shows are still available to the viewers. But till date no film has been made on these subjects on the big screen.

While Bollywood has brought almost every subject related to society on the big screen, it has never made a film on great mythology like ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’. Recently, during an interview, Swapnil Joshi was asked for an answer on this matter but he too could not answer it. Swapnil said that “I am also surprised why such big stories were not brought to the big screen. I am thinking about it myself.”

Swapnil Joshi played the role of ‘Krishna’ in the popular TV series ‘Shri Krishna’. Apart from this, he has also appeared in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Uttar Ramayana’ in the role of ‘Kush’, the son of Lord Rama.

OTT. But Ramayana has also been made

Even though Bollywood is yet to produce a film, a web series based on Ramayana is available on OTT. The web series named ‘Ramayug’ was released on May 6 on MX Player. ‘Ramayug’ is based on Valmiki Ramayana but it is very interesting to watch because of its amazing visual effects.
