Every year aspirants sit for one of the toughest exams in the country, many try to get through the civil services. But, the Covid-19 induced-pandemic, has made the exam more difficult for many, aspirants claiming.

This is the reason why candidates especially those who have either reached the upper age limit or have exhausted all the attempts in 2020 are now seeking to increase the upper limit to take the exam. On Tuesday evening, several candidates raised their demands on social media using #UPSCExtraAttempt. The hashtag that was trending got more than 11 thousand tweets.

One user wrote while tweeting

Several candidates have also moved the court with Public Interest Litigations (PILs) in the past, however, the Supreme Court has dismissed many of these petitions. A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjiv Khanna gave liberty to the candidates to make representations before the authorities concerned for additional effort.
