Why are BJP workers in Uttar Pradesh celebrating Yogi’s victory over a bulldozer?

Many supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been sharing videos of bulldozers on social media, while some party workers are seen celebrating Yogi Adityanath’s victory in Uttar Pradesh either by putting toy bulldozers on his head or standing on his head. Returns. Machine.

Even BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini, after crossing the party’s majority limit in 202 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, said that “nothing can come before a bulldozer”.

UP CM Adityanath is all set to sit on his chair once again. The BJP is leading in 403 seats, while Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) has emerged as a major rival, followed by the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Why Bulldozer?

It is understood that the term “bulldozer” refers to the use of the machine by the Yogi government to clear illegally inhabited land and properties.

Actor-turned-BJP MLA Hema Malini told ANI, “We already knew that our government would be formed; We have worked for every aspect of development, that’s why people trust us, nothing can come before a bulldozer, because it can finish everything in a minute, be it a cycle or something. “

While campaigning for the UP elections, SP leader Yadav mocked Adityanath, terming him a “Baba bulldozer” and said that “Baba” would lose the election, just as controversial agriculture laws were withdrawn.

“He (Yogi Adityanath) changed the name of everything. Till now we used to call him ‘Baba Chief Minister’, but today an English newspaper called him ‘Baba Bulldozer’. I have not given this name, it was given by a reputed English newspaper. And the time the vote takes place, the government will change,” the SP leader said.

But soon after the remark, Adityanath said that “the bulldozer does not talk”, but it works.

Addressing the people of Ghazipur, he said, ‘Our bulldozer does not talk, but it works very well. We will ensure that our development and our bulldozers work together after coming to power.

Adityanath has often used the bulldozer metaphor to show voters that he will make UP safe. The BJP has also stood firm in its attacks on the SP, accusing it of harboring and supporting criminals and “mafia” members.

The CM earlier said: “The BJP government believes in development but is also a bulldozer for the mafia and that is why women feel safe in the state.”

So as soon as the initial trends showed that UP CM’s victory was certain, party workers and supporters used bulldozers to celebrate the victory.

From riding bulldozers to placing posters with bulldozers in the background, BJP workers used the symbol to fight back on the opposition.
