According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of cold wave ie cold winds for the whole day in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Along with Delhi, the outbreak of winter continues in many states including Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, snowfall in the hilly states is affecting the plains, causing a drop in the temperature.

Severe cold in Bhopal for the fourth time in 86 years
The whole of Madhya Pradesh is breaking its own records. The night temperature in Bhopal has been recorded at 4 degrees, which is 7 degrees below normal. While the day temperature was reduced by 6 degrees to 20.7 degrees. According to meteorologists, this is the fourth time in 86 years it has been so cold. Severe Cold Wave (High Cold Wave) and Cold Day remained together.

According to meteorologist AK Shukla, earlier there was such cold in 1935 (0.6 degree), 1966 (3.1 degree) and 2011 (2.3 degree). December’s winter also broke January’s record of nine years of cold. The condition is that 14 districts including Bhopal are in the grip of cold wave. There was a cold day in the towns of 22 districts. The Meteorological Department has warned of cold wave in 18 districts including Bhopal on Monday.

Snow on the trees and plains in Rajasthan
This year the mercury has dropped so low that only snow is visible in Rajasthan from the mountains to the plains. For the last three days, the minimum temperature is going to minus in more than five districts. The icy winds coming from the mountains have frozen Rajasthan. Dew drops have become snow in Nagaur, Bhilwara, Ajmer and Jaipur of the state. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, the winter season is likely to increase further in the next 48 hours in Rajasthan.

Sikar recorded the lowest temperature of minus 5.2 degrees in 20 years. Due to this, snow froze on trees and plants in Smriti Van on Sanwali Road.

Heavy snowfall in Himachal
Western Disturbance is becoming active in Himachal Pradesh since December 3. Due to this, there is a possibility of snowfall on December 25 on Christmas Day as well. Today the temperature of 4 degree Celsius was recorded in the state. Manali and other hill stations are ready for the celebration of White Christmas and New Year this time. For the first time, tourists coming from all over the country will celebrate White Christmas even in the snowy plains of Lahaul due to Atal Tunnel Rohtang. There is continuous snowfall in the plains of Lahaul, due to which a white sheet of snow has been spread all around.

Temperature below 5 degrees in many districts of Chhattisgarh
The northern part of the state has come under the grip of cold wave. In the last 24 hours, the cold has suddenly become severe and the temperature has dropped below normal by 5 degrees everywhere in the northern part of Surguja-Bilaspur division. Night temperature in Ambikapur and Pendra is close to 6 degree Celsius. Since Sunday morning, cold has also increased in the plains of Bilaspur, Raipur and Durg divisions. The temperature is expected to drop further in the next two-three days.

Yellow alert of cold wave issued in many areas of Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh is also in the grip of severe cold. Aligarh was the coldest on Monday, with the temperature reaching 3 degree Celsius. In the last 10 years, this is the third time in Aligarh, when the mercury has gone so low before December 20. Entire Himalayas are under the grip of Western Disturbance. Apart from Aligarh, Agra, Mathura and Muzaffarnagar also recorded 4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the mercury reached 4.7 degree Celsius in Jhansi and 5 degree Celsius in Bareilly.

The Meteorological Department has expressed apprehension that today the minimum temperature in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh may be 5 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature may be 19 degree Celsius. A yellow alert has been issued in some districts of western Uttar Pradesh, Awadh and Bundelkhand region, Meerut, Saharanpur, Shamli, Baghpat, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and adjoining areas. .
