Who Is ‘Team India’s Biggest Enemy’ According To R Ashwin? Know More About Him

With Team India about to start their challenging Test series against South Africa away from home, many players who are yet to feature for the Indian cricket team after their heartbreaking loss in the World Cup final against Australia will be returning back to action.

The likes of Team India skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and others will be returning for the red ball format and will attempt to win India’s first Test series ever in South Africa.

With the team filled with talented batters, the focus will be shifting to lethal spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to spin webs around the Protea batters.

With the World Cup final in mind, Ravichandran Ashwin made his Youtube channel viewers meet with the man who can be considered as ‘one of the biggest enemies of the Indian cricket team’.

In his youtube vlog on Saturday, Ashwin introduced R Venkatesh, the man who was the local manager for the Australian cricket team in the ODI World Cup. Ashwin referred to him as “one of the biggest enemies of the Indian cricket team right now and asked him why did he do this to the Indian team as well.

To which Venkatesh or ‘Pappa’ as they call him replied, “My life was peaceful until that happened. My entire peace has been lost since then.”

“So, you were the local manager of the Australian cricket team. Wherever they go, they refer to you by your name and call you over. And now you are travelling with the Indian A team. How was the experience?” Ashwin asked.

“I am doing the same thing I did with Australia here too. But then, since I am doing it with known faces, it’s a lot better, ” Venkatesh said.

“I was thinking whether to call him or not. But he got caught up like a scapegoat.” Ashwin then said.

“A scapegoat that came by itself!” he replied.

Venkatesh is now back with the Indian team and feels relieved in working with known faces rather than what was the case yesterday.
