New Delhi: IBM has signed a deal to buy cloud software company Apptio for $4.6 billion. Apptio is founded by Indian-American Sunny Gupta who is a renowned entrepreneur and technology visionary. The software giant aims to expand its existing IT automation software and AI platform to provide solutions to businesses.
“Pending regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to be completed in the second half of 2023,” IBM said. “Apptio’s offering combined with IBM’s IT automation software and WatsonX AI platform provides customers with the most comprehensive approach to optimize and manage all their technology investments,” said Arvind Krishna, IBM CEO and President.
